Vintage vehicles and a traction engine bring history to life in Suffolk
Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday destinations – has staged its annual Steam & Vintage Show which this year was free to visitors.
The show brought together a collection of historic steam rollers, a traction engine and other exhibits such as tractors, stationary engines, agricultural and construction vehicles, vintage motorcycles and bicycles, wood and metal craft and much more besides. It was a day out to interest the whole family!
A Dog and Duck Trials Demo combined with a Tractor Parade attracted country-loving visitors while Live Music from the high-energy acoustic band Lincoln Skins completed the day’s entertainment.
Josh Forward of Stonham Barns Park said: ‘There’s nothing like a steam and vintage show and this year we introduced more vintage elements than ever before including cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors.’
‘We showcased some extra special vehicles from the agricultural and construction sectors to make the day both entertaining and educational. It was like a step back in time and we thank all the exhibitors for supporting us in bringing this show to the visitors.’
‘The sights, sounds and activities of the day made it a fun outing for all the family.’
