Suffolk destination launches Pumpkin Trail with prizes to be won

Stonham Barns Park is preparing for a Spooky Fun Day to celebrate Halloween on Sunday 30 October when people are being encouraged to come to visit for some family fun.

The retail, leisure and holiday destination venue is staging the day – to encourage families to do some activities together including The Pumpkin Trail/What’s In the Window Competition at its retail village, Craft Activities and Colouring, Movie Time with Wallace and Gromit’s The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and even a show of Spooky Vikings in the Mid-Suffolk Showground.

Says Fraser Carson, Events Manager at Stonham Barns Park. ‘We are ready to have some Halloween fun with our Spooky Fun Day.  We have competitions, a movie, and even some live action involving Vikings so there’s something for people of all ages.’

‘It is said that ‘All Hallows Eve’ was influenced by Celtic Harvest Festivals and its pagan roots continue to be celebrated today. Our aim is to get some Halloween-loving visitors here for a day of action on the Sunday ahead of ‘Trick or Treating’ on the actual day.  We have plotted and planned the activities – like witches around a cauldron – and so are ready to roll out some entertainment and family fun.’

The Spooky Fun Day is free for adults with an admission fee of £5 per child.  To see the Movie only is £2.50 per person. Vikings entry is £2 per adult and £1 per child. To Pre-Book tickets call 01449 711111 or visit www.stonhambarns.co.uk

Food will be available – plus camping is available if required – and there is also ample free parking.

Stonham Barns Park is a day out for all the family to suit all ages. Other activities at the leisure, retail and holiday venue include The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, The Bistro, Adventure Golf, a Teapot Pottery, a nine-hole golf course, holiday lodges, a caravan park, camping and glamping, an indoor play barn and fishing lakes.
