Emerging Norfolk Singer Songwriter Breeze Redwine (18) Releases ‘Debut’ Single

Breeze has been featured by BBC Introducing and has a loyal following.  Her story began when she won a performing arts competition in LA.

Norfolk-born singer songwriter Breeze Redwine has released her debut single Money as lockdown is officially easing.  It’s a song about her love of music and performing.

The single was performed for the first time at Stonham Sessions a new music event, staged at Stonham Barns Park, in advance of its release.  Money is a re-recording of the single – by the SAFO Music Group – which was written by Breeze prior to signing a contract with the Suffolk leisure and music venue in 2020. The video for the new single was recorded by Epic Studios in Norwich as part of the management deal.

Money is a high-energy, passion-filled song about Breeze’s connection with music. The powerful and emotive vocal celebrates the self-empowerment of this emerging artist.  At Just 18 years old, she insists ’It’s not about the money’.  It’s about her love of singing, music and performing.  She has music in her soul and the desire to entertain with pop, country, dance and heady love songs that sometimes show true grit and defiance.

A country-feel song, Money brings out the best in Breeze. It’s her first major single release of her career and it is expected to resonate with followers of the big-named artists and bands that influenced Breeze including Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons and Shawn Mendes. She plays guitar, ukulele and piano.

Breeze says of Money, ‘It’s how I felt at the time.  I just want to sing.  It’s not about the fame and fortune.  It’s not about the money.  It’s what’s in your heart and soul’.

‘I’m at my best when I am performing and song writing.  I feel as though I can take on the world!’

Breeze writes narrative songs with depth and feeling about life from a young, female perspective. The country-loving teen was raised in Harleston, Norfolk, Her lyrics are feel-good and mostly upbeat.  She sometimes delivers power ballads, often focusing on love, happiness and life lessons. Occasionally she touches on more sensitive issues, including the mental health of young people, a subject close to her heart.

She was invited to sing on stage, aged 11, by a teacher who first spotted her talent.  She was later crowned champion of Teenstar in 2015; and overall World Champion Division Winner of the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles in 2016.

Says Alan Forward owner of Stonham Barns Park, ‘Breeze is fabulously talented but quietly unassuming. She has a strength and resolve to shape her own role as an artist.  Above all, she loves to entertain and brings a whole playful new energy to the music arena.  She is a powerful singer songwriter, happy and content to grow as her musical output develops and it’s growing fast.’

She has been featured as a BBC introducing artist and her music has featured on three separate occasions as BBC Track of the Week. Stephen Bumpfrey, BBC Radio Norfolk presenter, says of Breeze, ‘This girl is set for the top.’

Her early release, Courage, independently recorded and released, began her journey into the music business. Now becoming widely known on the UK music scene, she is dedicated to her loyal fan base with views, plays and followers growing exponentially.

Among her notable performances are included, Long Beach and LA, California; the O2 and Dingwalls, London; the NEC Birmingham; and many appearances in the East of England, across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Money is available to download on streaming platforms such as Spotify and YouTube on 9 April. It will  also be available to purchase via iTunes and Amazon Music.
