Alan and Janice visiting the Earl Stonham Cricket Club last weekend. They are delighted to be sponsoring the club.

Earl Stonham’s Saturday team play in Division 5 of the Two Counties league, whilst following promotion after the 2019 season the Sunday side play in Division 1 of the Hunts league.
Considering the size of the village the club is punching well above its weight in both competitions, with some of the biggest clubs in Suffolk cricket represented in Division 1 on a Sunday.

Between the rain in May and tough opposition, wins have been difficult to come by on either day.
The highlight of the season so far with the bat has been captain Luke Edgar’s destructive 75 vs Hadleigh, whilst 18 year old Ant Stowe has tirelessly led the bowling attack.
Another positive of the young season is the welcoming of several new debutants this season, including 15 year old Josh Hearn who lives in the village.

The club is well known for being very friendly, and is always welcoming of new members whether playing cricketers or non-playing supporters.
