Stonham Barns Park delights crowds with Land Rover Show featuring an off-road course to test out the performance of a variety of 4x4s
Over 400 vehicles were on show at the second ever Land Rover Show in Suffolk staged at Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday destinations – at the weekend.
The event was strongly supported by clubs from the area who displayed a huge range of classic, modified, and new Land Rovers and other 4×4 vehicles too. The exhibits included Freelander, Discovery, Defender, Evoke and Range Rover – the vehicles featured varied in age, specification and colours – one was even looking fabulous in very bright pink!
There was also an auto jumble, club trade stands, live music and food outlets serving throughout the day’s event.
Suffolk Land Rover Club were just one of the clubs at the show. To make the show more interactive, the club provided off-road rides on a specially made course to demonstrate the manoeuvrability, resilience, and handling of the unique 4x4s as they handled the lumps and bumps of the rural terrain.
This year the event was supported by Farmers Guide – the UK’s leading monthly farming magazine. Celebrating the mutual countryside adoration and heritage surrounding 4x4s, the new partnership perfectly aligns with the company’s shared commitment to rural traditions and innovation.
Stonham Barns Park has a huge following in East Anglia as a leading show venue which combined with Farmers Guide’s reach of over 90,000 monthly farm readers and 65,000 online followers made for a strong show attendance.
Lily Wakeling of Stonham Barns Park Events Team comments, ‘Everyone loves a 4×4 and the Land Rovers turned out in huge numbers. They are the backbone of the farming community and bring fun to everyone. It’s so good to have a show to celebrate the wonders of everything 4×4. Everyone had fun and we thank everyone for their support. We will all be back to do it all again next year!’
