Stonham Barns Park Showground hosts vintage cars and American culture
The American Car Show 2023, in association with The Carrot Town Garage (CTG), held its popular club’s and private owner’s showcase event this weekend at Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday destinations. The third show in the series featured over 120 American cars with muscle, power and fabulous paintwork.
The event was strongly supported by the American classic car community exhibiting a dazzling array of cars, trucks and hot rods. Vehicles on show at the event spanned the last six decades, and included Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Chryslers and Fords.
New for this year was a display by Motion Pictures Motors – a movie car club – which brought some of their famous movie cars to the event.
There was live music on both days too with music from DJ Nadge on Saturday.
Commenting on the show, Stuart Davies, who founded sponsors Classic American Car Dealership Carrot Town Garage, said: ‘We enjoyed putting on the show again this year and we hope that we made it more entertaining than ever. It was the usual American automatic spectacle with some extreme customs to produce some of the best cars that the public have seen and heard.’
‘The cars and trucks on show are always statement pieces. We are most grateful to all the owners who came and to the clubs. It was a great weekend despite the mixed weather and all those who came went away with photos and memories of a great day out!’
Mark Warren from the Stonham Barns Park Events Team added, ‘It is the perfect day for American classic car enthusiasts from around the region. You can’t suppress the enthusiasm of the owners – they are devoted to restoring and showing their prized vehicles and getting the exhibits together always makes for a stunning show. The vibe is most-certainly there from when the show starts. It’s such a cool weekend.’
