Quirky teapots for all occasions sell all around the globe
Carters of Suffolk – based at Stonham Barns Park – has secured a win in LUXlife Magazine’s Best Handmade Ceramic Giftware Producer Award 2022 for its uniquely creative novelty teapots.
Its teapots are still enjoying an uplift in sales as people are choosing ceramics as luxury presents, making more of an occasion of afternoon teas, starting collections and adding more style to their homes through interior makeovers.
The Perfect Gift Awards scheme – from premium magazine LUXlife – is in its inaugural year. It recognises those companies and individuals who have established themselves through dedication to perfection. The programme looks to celebrate the companies who innovate, excel and pursue perfection across the entire business.
Carters of Suffolk, handmade British ceramic teapot makers for 40 years, are experiencing consistent levels of demand from individuals in the UK, and worldwide, since the pandemic has changed the way people live life and shop. This latest boost to the company is this award win which recognises the craftsmanship, creativity and expertise that goes into the novelty teapot collection.
Says owner Mark Gillam, ‘We are delighted to have secured this prestigious award. It comes at a time when luxury markets are being hit hard by the events of the last couple of years. But we have adapted to the changes in people’s expectations offering a revitalised collection of products with new designs added in too.’
‘It is so rewarding that sales have been maintained both throughout the UK and online and with export sales also reaching record levels to support the UK’s vitally important export drive. Brexit has happened and we have found new markets and way of supplying our products to Europe and the rest of the world.’
‘These quirky teapots bring joy to people – and we are very happy that they do!’
