Family Fun Day is Coming to Stonham Barns Park!
Suffolk destination venue gives back to the community
Stonham Barns Park is preparing for a day of family entertainment (and exercise) on Sunday 23 October when people are being encouraged to bring their dog or dogs to a free Doggy Fun Day.
The retail, leisure and holiday destination venue is staging the free admission day – to encourage families, dog charities and dog groups to all gather together to join in Dog Displays and Fun Dog Competitions. ‘The more dogs and owners the better.’ Says Fraser Carson, Events Manager at Stonham Barns Park. ‘We know that many people in the community bring their dogs here for walks – and to our doggy groomers and retail outlets – so we want to celebrate these canine ‘friends’ – who helped us through the pandemic – with a day of activities for them.’
‘The idea behind the special day is also to say thank you to local families, lodge owners and retailers from the shopping village who continued to support the venue during the pandemic and are still visiting the complex even now when we are facing new economic challenges.’
‘There will be activities for owners and their dogs and plenty to see and do. If the day is a success with our pampered pooches there is every expectation that it will become an annual event in the calendar moving forwards.’
Stonham Barns Park Events Team will be supporting the event to make sure that the day goes smoothly and that everyone can benefit from the many and differing activities on offer.
Admission to the event is free. Free pitches are on offer for traders who wish to attend the event. All on the Mid Suffolk Showground. Camping is available as is ample parking.
Stonham Barns Park is a day out for all the family to suit all ages. Other activities at the leisure, retail and holiday venue include The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, The Bistro, Adventure Golf, a Teapot Pottery, a nine-hole golf course, holiday lodges, a caravan park, camping and glamping, an indoor play barn and fishing lakes.
