Live music and a DJ set brings back dancing and profits from the evening will be donated to charity

It has probably been quite a few years since the outfits actually were in fashion, and with the last 18 months of a ‘not going out’ culture, Stonham Barns Park is inviting people to dust off their platform boots and tartan trousers and enjoy a night of 70’s music on 13 August 2021.

There will see an evening of live music from the ever popular ‘The Glamtastics’ followed by a disco to bring out all those moves.

Stonham Barns Park hosts several live music events each year and this one is expected to attract people from all over East Anglia who were enjoying the music scene during the days of disco.  Says Events Manager David Sandpearl, ‘70’s dress is optional – but a good time is guaranteed as everyone loves a throwback event, especially now as music venues are opening up again and dancing is allowed!’

‘After such a period of uncertainly surrounding going out, it is very gratifying to be able to roll out some events which people feel comfortable attending as restrictions are eased again.’

‘We are expecting a great atmosphere for this glam and fun event!’

The evening will see The Glamtastics playing 2 sets of 45 minutes (plus encores) of all the favourites from the era and Stonham Barns Park resident DJ spinning some original vinyl until later in the evening.

There will be a licensed bar and plenty of room to dance.

Tickets are priced at £8.00 in advance, via the Stonham Barns website www.stonhambarns.co.uk or £10.00 on the door.

Numbers are limited, and advance booking is recommended.

Profits from the evening will be donated to The Errol McKellar Foundation, www.MOTyourself.org.uk  of which Stonham Barns Park is a main sponsor, to help with the early detection of Prostate Cancer.
